Workshops

Improv Leadership

    • ONLY OPEN TO THOSE CURRENTLY SERVING IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS ON AN IMPROV TROUPE!
    • Running an improv troupe is hard. With learning games, teaching games, playing games, managing troupe members, planning shows, running shows, and then repeating again. Come join us to learn some strategies on how to expand your knowledge about improv and troupe management.

    Establishing A Scene

      • The foundations of improv are something to never be taken for granted and should be continually reviewed. Here we’ll learn how to build the best scenes based on the foundations of Character, Relationships, Objectives, and Where the scene is set.

      Musical Improv

        • Ever wonder what it would be like to use music in improv? Come work with a skilled pianist and experienced musical improvisers to learn how to use your talents (even if you don’t think you have any), wordplay, and rhythm can boost musical games as well as any other game you want to spice up with music.

        Build A Character

          • What goes into building a character? How often do actors spend weeks creating backgrounds, motivations, and more for a character they live in for a long period of time? Would you like to learn how to do it in 5 seconds? Or how to adapt to the gifts others bestow on you? Join us for the training you’ve been seeking. We’ll give you the tools to build a sustainable character.

          Building Trust

            • Nothing can happen in improv without trust. That’s the reality. Trust isn’t something that just happens. It’s important that we all recognize what goes into building trust, boundaries, and how to rebuild it when needed.

            Long Form Improv

              • The games you play are traditionally played in Short Form, within 3-5 minutes. Long Form games can last as long as long as wanted. Using CROW structure and strong characters, we can create a long form narrative game that builds like any good story.

              Life Skills in Improv

                • “Everyone can act. Everyone can improvise. Anyone who wishes to can play in the theater and learn to become stageworthy.” – Viola Spolin (Mother of Improv) The tactics, skills, and talents honed through improv can change your life forever. However, sometimes it’s hard to identify what exactly is learned through improv. This workshop will help you identify and strengthen those skills.
